What are the effects of toys on children's growth

The significance of children's toy construction games lies primarily in promoting the development of thinking and the habit of hands-on operation through young children building various objects or structures. The aim is to foster the use of both hands and brain. In the process of using various materials, children can directly understand the properties of different substances, recognize the shapes and quantities of various materials, and gain knowledge and experience in the application of various materials within the structure. Furthermore, children's abilities in design and conception can also be exercised. For example, building blocks need to be put together one by one, layer by layer, to construct a building or a reservoir. Success is achieved only after multiple failures, which is a good way to exercise young children's willpower.

Toys are the angels of children. Why do we say so? Toys play a significant role in young children's process of understanding the surrounding world. With their bright colors, elegant and exotic shapes, clever activities, and pleasant sounds, toys attract children's curiosity and attention. Toys are concrete, practical objects that resemble real-life images, satisfying young children's desire to use their hands and brains to manipulate and play with them. With a wide variety of types and diverse ways of playing, toys can arouse young children's interest. Good toys can stimulate their desire to play games, serving as textbooks for their learning and beloved companions in their daily lives.

Children's toys can stimulate children's enthusiasm for activities.

The physical and mental development of children is achieved through activities. Toys can be freely played, manipulated, and utilized by young children, which aligns with their psychological preferences and ability levels. They can meet the needs of children's activities and enhance their enthusiasm for participation. For example, with the "rocking horse" toy, young children will naturally ride on it and swing back and forth, which not only fulfills their activity requirements but also generates positive and pleasant emotions, making them enjoy playing for a long time. Another example is the "doll" toy, which can inspire young children to engage in various activities. Children of different ages, based on their own life experiences, can use dolls to play games, which can range from simple to complex and varied.

Children's toys can enhance perceptual knowledge.

Toys possess the characteristic of intuitive imagery, allowing young children to touch, hold, listen, blow, and observe, which is conducive to the training of various senses. For example, colorful tower sets, blow-molded toys, various dolls, and toy animals are beneficial for visual training; musical bears, small pianos, tambourines, and small trumpets can train auditory perception; building blocks, plastic pieces, and structural models can develop spatial perception; various puzzles, inlaid toys, and soft plastic toys can exercise tactile sensation; and pull-back ducks, handcarts, tricycles, and two-wheeled vehicles are conducive to the development of kinesthetic awareness. While developing sensory and motor abilities, toys not only enrich young children's perceptual knowledge but also help consolidate the impressions they acquire in life. When young children are not extensively exposed to real life, they understand the world through toys.

Children's toys can stimulate young children's associative activities.

Toys such as those for hospitals and dollhouses can evoke children's associations with hospitals and homes, prompting them to engage in creative role-playing games. Toys representing labor tools can inspire children to simulate labor activities like planting trees, digging rivers, and building structures. Some toys are specifically designed for thinking training, such as various chess games and intelligence toys, which can enhance children's abilities in analysis, synthesis, comparison, judgment, and reasoning, fostering depth of thinking, flexibility, and agility. These toys actively engage children in thinking, imagination, and other activities, which they express through hand or other body movements.

When playing with "building block" toys, children need to conceive, imagine, and select materials to achieve their intended goals. When assembling, they need to use both their hands and their brains. Young children may encounter some difficulties when using toys, which require them to rely on their own strength to overcome and persist in completing tasks, thus cultivating excellent qualities such as overcoming difficulties and striving for progress.

It helps cultivate a sense of collectivism and a spirit of cooperation.

Some toys are designed for young children to use together. For example, the "telephone" toy requires two parties to communicate, and even a messenger, which can help children understand and learn about life experiences and practice cooperation with peers. Another example is the "long rope" toy, which inherently requires many children to use collectively. In the game of jumping the long rope, children coordinate their movements with each other, enhancing their sense of collectivity.
